Justin To Celebrate the Launch of His Custom-Built Acorn Dinghy on Saturday

Justin Ingersoll is one of our favorite people in this world and he did an amazing amount of volunteer work on the schooner Ardelle last year and continues to be a welcome presence around the boatyard. Whenever we hear what sounds like a 1960s drag racer coming down Burnham Court, we know that Justin is coming down the road in his 1960s era Le Mans or GTO .. driving back from working on over at the Gloucester Marine Railway on the replica Tea Party boats and that he has a project going on here that needs finishing. Since helping us finish the Ardelle, Justin did some amazing maple sugaring here on the few maple trees we have, giving us jars of amazing maple syrup that would fit in any gourmet kitchen. He has also been working on a beautful custom-made Acorn Dinghy that he will use first to race in the Essex River race the following weekend and he will then use it for sailing around Gloucester harbor this summer.

However, Justin must launch his small vessel first and this Saturday at 4 p.m. he will be doing just that from the Burnham yard. We welcome any of you to join us to celebrate both a beautiful piece of work worthy of WoodenBoat Magazine and to thank him for all of his hard work, dedication, friendship, and THE best maple syrup ever tasted!
